Need a little pick-me-up?

I’ve got just the trick for you! I love a good Bloody Mary when I have over indulged, and I have the perfect recipe to distract you from that headache. Or should I call it wine flu?

It took me a while to get into drinking Bloody Mary’s as they are acquired taste, but once I did I seriously fell in love. They do hit the spot, and with a little nip of Tabasco – Divine! Let’s get straight to it shall we?

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. vodka
  • 16 oz. tomato juice
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 tbsp. olive juice
  • 2 tbsp. horseradish
  • One tsp. Hot sauce
  • Freshly ground pepper

For the garnish

  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 lemon slices
  • Optional olivies

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients—minus the vodka—in a pitcher and shake. Taste and adjust seasoning to preference.
  2. Run a lemon along the rims of each glass.
  3. Fill glasses with ice, pour 2 oz of vodka in each, and finish with the Bloody Mary mix.
  4. Garnish with lemon slice, olives, and celery.
