Can you believe Christmas is five weeks away?

Have you made your list yet? Have you started planning your big day? If you are slowly getting onto it ( like me!), I have a little creative hack that I want to share with you that will take the pressure of gifting this festive season. I am all about keeping things simple and as we head into the crazy season of Christmas - I love how creative one can get with a simple bottle of alcohol. We all know that you can never attend a party empty-handed and we all know as everyone has a favourite tipple, so let's combine the two! A great gift-giving idea for the festive season is a bottle of Bubbly, Whiskey, Gin or Wine gifted in a way that wows.

Like me, I am sure you have a gifting list a mile long - so why not, next time you are doing the groceries or running errands pop into your local Vintage Cellars and stock up on a few bottles? Having a selection of bottles on hand and will make your December a lot easier, all they need is a simple refresh, and your gift is sorted!

For the Christmas Party

No, we never turn up empty-handed, do we? So walking into a Christmas gathering with a delicious bottle of gin to share will always keep you in your hosts' good books! McHenry Christmas Gin is the absolute winner this festive season. It has a subtle but beautiful Christmas label that needs to be shown off so let's keep it simple by wrapping its neck in a gorgeous ribbon. No box or wrapping is necessary because this bottle also has something extraordinary that you want everyone to see. Small flakes of gold, frankincense and myrrh swirl around the gin like a snow globe - seriously, could you get any more Christmas than that?

For the lovers of Wine

Perfect for every celebratory occasion, gifting Peregrine Pinot Noir has never looked so good (or been so easy)! This is a little DIY that can be made in any fabric depending on your recipient, and it involves a quick trip to your local op shop. I purchased an old men's shirt, cut the sleeves off and repurposed them into wine sleeves, a simple ribbon holds that fabric to the neck of the bottle and little posies of flowers to finish it off. Pure, creative and recycled.

For the lovers of Bubbly

I love a glass of bubbles at this time of year, and if it's French, even better! With a bottle as gorgeous as this, it needs some floral gorgeousness to go with it to turn it into a real gift. I love any shade of pink and this gift of Canard Duchene Brut Champagne is heading off to a special girlfriend, so flowers and sweet treats are a must. Purchase a gift box from your local craft or two dollar store, a few sheets of tissue paper, a bunch of flowers to match your tissue paper and a matching box of macarons which can be picked up at supermarkets these days! Easy to box, gorgeous to give and a stress-free way of gift-giving!

For the lovers of Whiskey

A great bottle of Whiskey is the perfect addition to a bar, so why not make the bottle the centre of attention in this gift basket? I love a good amber bottle, and they are great to reuse as vases, candle holders or simply just used to style a shelf so when I find one as cool as Solera Rye by The Gospel I know it will make the perfect gift. The Dark amber glass bottle sitting amongst leafy florals, a miniature Christmas fir in a reusable wicker basket is an excellent present for a work colleague. Line your basket with brown paper wrapping to keep in the whiskey theme, load up your goodies and gift away!

So let’s take the stress out of gift-giving by heading to Vintage Cellars, stock up on a few favourites and get creative with your wrapping. Pick up a copy of their Christmas gifting guide from one of their 80 stores across Australia or online and start making that list, knowing that if you have any questions at all they are there to help. You don’t have to spend a fortune to make your gifts look great, you just need a little dose of inspiration and festive spirit. So what are you waiting for? Christmas is only 5 weeks away!
