Love it or hate it, I’m here and ready for it!

Halloween celebrations are all about flamboyance, fun and thrills! It is the perfect celebration to go a little bit silly and have a good time! Don’t let it be a night where the kids get to have all the fun - what about us adults? Now I’ve hosted plenty of Halloween events and I have loved every single one of them. So as we head into the spooooooky season, it’s time to get our creative juices flowing….

Delicious snacks for the trick or treaters

You don’t need to spend a fortune to create fun little treats for trick or treaters. But that doesn’t mean you can get lazy and just fill bowls with chocolate bars and hope for the best. Set an afternoon aside and get crafty, a little planning can go a long way another is nothing better than seeing a happy face with a spooky treat in hand. Simple ideas like bags of cheese and bacon balls, adding black food dye to your toffee for toffee apples, glasses holding an assortment of spider lollies and teeth; it’s little-themed touches like this that make everything that little bit more special. All these treat ingredients are from the local supermarket and $2 shop, and by taking cues from the ideas below I am sure you will come up with some fantastic versions on your own.

A HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION IS A GREAT EXCUSE TO TURN YOUR HOUSE UPSIDE DOWN!

Pulling together a little table for Halloween is always a bit of a treat. Whether it be just for decoration or if you are planning a spooky dinner party, it’s all about getting involved and in the spirit of this fun occasion. Life is so busy and serious most of the time, why not go a little crazy and fully embrace this celebration. Trick or treating most certainly a fun thing to organise on your street if there are lots of children. It can be a little random in some areas with some homes getting involved and some not, but how do you know who is and who isn’t? You are either prepared, or you are not and sometimes all it takes is one person to give the neighbourhood a nudge to get them in the giving spirit. Simply letterbox dropping your neighbours with a simple balloon or ribbon and a note is all you need to do to get them involved. Hang the balloon on your door or fence and wait for the kids to come knocking, or better still - decorate your home and shout it out to the neighbourhood!
