No one wants to be stuck in the kitchen on grand final day, missing the first bounce or the first goal!

September in Australia (and especially Melbourne) is known for Footy Finals Fever. It is such an exciting time when everyone gets together to watch the game and celebrate. And what better way to celebrate than with a grand final day snack buffet to keep you well fed and watered throughout the match. No one wants to miss out of watching the game, so a styled buffet full of yummy finger foods is exactly what grand final day needs. Choose snacks and foods that are simple and don’t need to be fussed over, nothing too fancy but everything oh so tasty. Party pies and sausage rolls are the staples for all grand finals, and I am a stickler for traditional snacks so I found the yummiest versions I could to make and share with you all later in the week.

Pre-cooking these meals is an absolute must, no one wants to be stuck missing out on the action, letting your guests dine - buffet style is a relaxed and casual way to entertain. Not to mention so easy!

With the buffet table filled with snacks, you can focus your energy on creating a fun space for all to enjoy the grand final in style. Offering a selection of healthy foods and a few sneaky treats will keep everyone happy during the game. Fresh baguettes with a choice of ham, cheese, and condiments are perfect for those opting out of the pies and sausage rolls. Keep your guests hydrated with water throughout the day, and just for fun, I tied a whistle around each water bottle. And of course, I can't leave out a little indulgence at half time in the shape of lollies and potato chips.
