Let's Create An Outdoor Fiesta

Any excuse to head outdoors for a beautiful lunch or dinner with family or friends and I'm there. This fiesta table setting, with it's bright and bold colours, is instantly inviting.

Sometimes all I need is a beautiful tablecloth to inspire me...It can be that simple. Grab enough crockery and cutlery, a drink to keep you at your seat and centrepiece to tie it all together and your table is set. A Mexican feast deserves to be outdoors and I loved styling up my parent's backyard recently for a little fiesta.

Sometimes a beautiful piece of fabric or tablecloth can inspire me to set the table in a certain theme. This cloth is so beautiful that it just screamed out a Mexican lunch in the garden. With all the amazing colours to use as a starting point - the pink was what spoke to me the most. This divine cloth is made by Naudic Home and as soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for a fun fiesta setting.

Cloth like this doesn't really need flowers but whenever Dahlias are in bloom I can't stop myself. There are so many gorgeous colours variations of them I needed them to sit at the end of the table. With a table this length, you can take advantage of having leftover space at both ends, fill these areas with your flowers and plates, keeping the centre free for drinks and food. It creates an informal setting, perfect for a long lunch.

It's no secret that I love eclectic things. The bright, the bolder the better! Layering the serviette rings with both pom poms and tassels gives it that exact feel I love. More is more right? My embossed platter, napkin tassels and cushions are all from Canvas + Sasson. This store is one of my favourites, sourcing their goods from all over the world I never leave empty handed.

Using vibrant colour always makes people smile. Pair that with some delicious food that can be passed around and you have the perfect combination. All you need is colour, colour, colour – Ole!
