Having an eclectic collection of plates is one thing.
But pulling it all together for a fantastic table setting is another. Now I have had years of practice with this as one of my favourite things to do is style a table! I thought I would share with you some tricks of the trade when styling a mix and match table setting. To create this sort of look you need to have a few different colours and styles of crockery, and also a few sets of napery.
And of course, with any table setting you need napery. Making your own napery is such an easy DIY, every time I purchase yet another set of gorgeous bright cloth napkins I chastise myself and swear next time I am hitting Spotlight and making my own! A few metres of gorgeous fabric, overlock or hem the edges and you are done. It really couldn’t be any easier, in fact, check out this link to 21 beautiful napkins with free tutorials, it will get you started if you are interested in making your own. There are so many great tea towels available at the moment; these items are great to use as a serviette as they are large. IKEA is my go to for these, but I have also spotted some fun prints in Kmart that would totally make a table pop!
