A simple setting can go so far!

Now that a few of my collections for Chyka Home has hit the Harris Scarfe stores, I thought I would show you how I styled it for the past few Christmas get-togethers I have had in the lead up to the big day! Simple lunches on the balcony, a quick catch up featuring the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, biscuits all washed down with a cup of tea, and of course, evening drinks where I could show off the most amazing gingerbread house!

Can I just show you the beauty that is this Gingerbread Christmas House by Michelle from Michelle’s Cookies. Isn’t it just the most gorgeous thing you have ever seen? Meticulously made, this design is actually based on our cottage in Main Ridge and has been the star of many a festive get together! We loved what Michelle created so much that we also have been stocking her delicious festive biscuits at The Commons. A gingerbread house makes the perfect centrepiece for your Christmas dessert table, I cant wait to break ours apart (very slowly and carefully I promise!) to dip into a cup of tea after a long day of festive fun!

My favourite dining collection for Harris Scarfe would have to be the Lotus collection. It comes in three cute colourways - blue, apricot and matte green, and to be honest with you - I cannot fault it! Every table I have set using this dinnerware collection has wowed, from Thanksgiving to Christmas this set has proven to be versatile, easy and fun to style with. Match some colour back in with your existing wares to give a little twist to traditional white dinnerware and bring some fun to your table this Summer season. A morning of tea and cupcakes on the balcony needed very little styling when adding a festive cookie, a voluminous cupcake and of course, a clean napkin and placemat - all new to Harris Scarfe and instore now.
