London Like A Local

I cannot tell you how fantastic London feels at the moment… There are people everywhere, flags flying, and beautiful baskets of flowers hanging off every possible building and lamp pole. It feels joyous and happy, truly alive, and I am making the most of my time in this extraordinary city. When planning what to do, I always try to map out my day the night before. I worked out an area I would like to explore and do my research! What is the best way to get there? Walking everywhere is the best because you see so much you didn’t expect to find, but it is not always an option. I have found that Uber is cheaper than taxis, and trains are cheaper than Uber, so depending on your destination for the day - choose your transport accordingly.

Areas I have fallen in love with…

Nottinghill

Kings Road

Elizabeth Street

Shoreditch

Richmond

Pimlico Road

Portobello Market

Borough Market

TOP TIP! If you are a theatre lover, there are so many plays on. We went and saw I, Tina which was incredible, and I highly recommend but I have also been recommended to see The Patriot, Six, To Kill a Mockingbird and Ain’t Too Proud. There are lots of great ways to get cheaper tickets, particularly on the day of the performance. If you google any of the shows you want to see, many options will come up.

It’s impossible to have a favourite place to eat…
