Another Lockdown, A Different Attitude

I’ve been a little quiet on social media over the last couple of days as it’s hard to comprehend how we in Melbourne have gone backwards...

…It’s a bitter pill to swallow, as I was finally feeling excited that there was a glimmer of light starting to appear. That maybe we had gotten over the worse of Covid19, but no. Not this time, not just yet, and looking down the barrel of a 6-week lockdown makes my heart heavy. But this morning, as difficult as it was, I sat down and had a serious think (followed by plenty of tears) my attitude needed changing and what better time than now.

Changing one’s mindset is similar to committing to a new exercise regime - consistency, dedication and perseverance are needed. And for the next 6 weeks of lockdown, I am committing myself to change. I’m going to approach my days a little differently…. My plan is to use the next 6 weeks in a really positive way. I will continue exercising, focus daily on eating better, drinking less and making sure I learn something new every day.

I know that we, as proud Melbournians, can do this if we all work together. None of us wants to be in this situation, and I know we are all desperate to start our business’ up again... so let’s ALL do our bit. Stay at home when possible, social distance whenever you leave the house, shop for a friend if they need you and share the love with those around you. Sending all my love to everyone and can’t wait to be on the other side of this…

P.S FOLLOW ME on social media as every day on Instagram & Facebook I will post up a favourite picture of the day, feel like doing the same? Let’s share the small things we love with each other.
